Hi all,

In virtuoso layout editor, I want to make a cell from my layout and connect it to another cell. The problem is that after making a cell by selecting the layout and executing make cell, the pins are inside the cell and cannot be connected so I want to know how to make the pins outside the cell.

thanks,

Re: Layout question

You can just connect by connecting the pins with the same metal layer. Virtuoso will understand this. There is no need to make the pins outside.

Layout question

When you make a cell . the connective of layoutxl is miss . you should create pin in the make cell .

Layout question

Create new pins in the cell which is made

Layout question

if you don't want to creat to new pins, you can connect then with the same layer.
