Hi all,

I want to draw a tapered plate (i.e. different width at different position).
I have about 200pts of data. It is possible to enter this value manually,
but isnt there a better way. Please note that i cant create a parameter, since the formula is much too complicated to type in.
Is there some way HFSS can read in a data file for the width of the plate.

regards,
newbie

You can import the data using a Visual Basic script, since that is the scripting language supported in new versions of HFSS. Create the table of data in excel and export to a text file, then read it in using a VBScript.

Ansoft has examples available for doing this. A support rep should be able to send one out to you.
