Continuous Mathematics
A branch of mathematics which deals with problems that are based on a continuous set of numbers.

Discrete Mathematics
Discrete mathematics problems can be classified in three broad categories, existence problems, counting problems and optimization problems.

discrete is the sampling of continuous in the special times or points.
usually discrete is used for saving the continuous in the camputer or digital devices.
 

If you have a signal (or a function) in a period of time:

-> Continuous: you have infite points of the function in this period of time:
-> Discrete: you have a finite number of points of the funtion in the same period of time.
