I need the discrete componenets to make energy meter . i.e i have to measure voltage and current and power factor and than interface them with microcontroller and with computer via seial port. THANKS

I want to know how to interface 89C51 with computer and used it as energy meter for single phase supply >plz give me schematic and circuit detail and programming coding. THANKS

Hello brother!
For Your application are two choices:
One (Hard mode): Develop a meter with analog interface and processing the analog signal with the microcontroler...

Seconde (Soft Mode) : Use a single chip meter like : ADE7755, ADE7756, ADE7753 (Analog Devices) or Sames.

For more information check the web sites of the manufactures (Analog Devices and Sames), have many application notes explaning some features of the hardware and software!

Hi, it seems like Analog Devices website for ADE7753 only contains application notes for ADE7756.

Do you know where the reference design and program codes for ADE7753 can be found?
