hi guys i want some help regarding the bootin of the blackfin bf 533 procedure. so plase help me

but you ever used the ez-lite kit of the anlog?they are providing the boot rom program for their kit. can i use that program for my application?
i known that u r busy, but plase gave me some tome.

The ez-kit is a relay nice piece of hardware

I used that in the beginning for my project, later to be replaced by my own hardware
The way I work with it is that I flash all my code in to the flash and at boot up time my code gets copied over to the SDRAM
this is all well documented in the kit

also take a look at http://www.blackfin.org/index.php
they also have a good kit called STAMP

personally I prefer the ez-kit because of the built in USB JTAG

hey any one can please tell me how to program the boot rom for my blackfin bf 531 processor. can i use the visual dsp for tht?
 

yes you can configure your project to the boot procedure that you want and than write the paralel flhash or serial (spi ) flash, in your desing you have to configure the 2 pins that select the boot procedure.

Hi do you want to use ulinux or normal embedded code in VDSP++ :)
 

hey i'mworking on bf frm last year and i'm using the win for that. but why u required the ulinux code. u may get it frm blackfin.org
 

I don’t require any, i have gone through that sight there is a good modular board implementation is there. i have gone through that also. iam not working in blakfin iam working on 21161n(Hammer head sharc) for the past 6 months , i want to know which you r using to help you. I am also interested in designing a system with Blackfin and ulinux as OS.
 

ya why not i'm using the ez-lite kit for development of my system.i think u r one who can help me for writing the bootcode for my system. my code for my system is ready but i'm not able to write code for that. for that also pcb also is pending.so plz help me...........
 

Do you have previously written any boot loader code for any DSP or Microcontroller.
 

i have written code for the microcntrollers but not for any dsp . have u written code for dsp?
 

Ya i have done some coding on tms6711 and, now on AD21161 it is similar to microcontroller coding the only difference you can find hear is the no of execution paths and no of functional unites (only concentrated if you want to do large amount of processing) for writing driver or monitor program (nothing but initializing all the peripherals i.e. no but driver) its like the same microcontroller coding.

i know tht it is similar but hve u written any code for boot procedure. it is some what diffrent than normal code writing. if um want more info i wil tell u.but any way thanks onece again.
 

Hi i have not written for blakfin but iam writing boot code for a board with ADSP-21161n floating point DSP as the processing element with codec,adc,dac,rs232uart ,digital i/o etc which i have designed.

bnut till i want to know that or any boot code for any dsp. i have that files already with me. if you dont ind plz give me block digram as such. and once agian thanks for your support puviarasu. iwnt to know more about ur self.
