Hi all,

I'm design an interface board with one of the functions being the following:

The board receives 18 RS422 signals and I need to translate this data to an FPGA via a backplane. Best method appears to be to serialize this data and then transmit down the backplane to the FPGA. I have found a serializer (DS99R101) which appears to do what I want. However, it requires a LVTTL/LVCMOS input.

Does anyone have any recommendations for level translation of a collection of RS422 signals?

Many thanks.

There are RS-422 receivers which operate with a 3.3V supply and have LVTTL outputs. For example, see the "Interface" product pages at https://www.maximintegrated.com
Probably T.I. and others. In the parametric selection tables, choose a 3.3V supply to get started.
