I am making a remote control and a receiver to control my room's fan speed, light etc. I am using IC pair TC9148 as transmitter and TC9149 as receiver. Its working fine. Now I want to increase the range. Please suggest me. I also want to know alternative ICs of TC9148 and TC91489.
Regards
Hasan

I work with MCP145026 and MCP145028, but at the moment I don't know what is staus of this component. I can tell you that works fine and stable.
Generaly you can adjust range with higher current through IR LED, but not tu much or adding more tha one LEDs.
Here my old project that I used for robot control and it can be easy adjusted to satisfy your needs.
