I have a P89V51RD2 microcontroller with a development board.
The board has a RS232 interface to use the IC in ISP mode. The IC had bootloader in it already.
I used the interface once to burn a code in the IC using Flash Magic.
It worked well.

But the next time I think I mistakenly erased the complete flash.
Now Flash Magic is not able to communicate with the device.

So what can I do now to burn a bootloader code in the IC.
Can I get any standard bootloder code on internet or will I have to create my own code?

Are you sure that the boot-loader is erased? If not from tools of flashmagic take terminal then select bdr 9600. Then keep pressing 'U' on your keyboard reset the development board. If u get 'U' echoed in your terminal, your boot-loader is fine. Else you can download the boot-loader and burn it to the controller using a parallel programer only. This is the standard boot-loader.

I haven't done the 'U' thing. I'll try that. But the Flash Magic is not able to communicate with the device at all..
BTW I've downloaded the boot-loader code from NXP by the link provided.. I'll check the IC boot loader first using the terminal.

Will post the results..

Thanks! :)
