Cannot install antivirus

When I try to scan my pc using an antivirus in my windows xp machine there was an error message " virus signature file is corrupted " . I had try this several times but no matter . Please help me to solve this
 

The reason for this error is that the virus signature files that were downloaded are corrupted. The reason for this can be a bad connection, a proxy server, not enough disk space and so on. The older virus signature files will be restored.
There is a great chance that this is a temporary issue. Therefore try to update the virus signature files again if this error occurs.
If updating the virus signature files through the Updater does not solve the problem, try updating the virus signature files manually.



Try to reinstall again after rebooting , or download fresh version of tht Anti-virus. Seems tht a file is missing.

Hi, Here i install avast antivirus yesterday, After installation its ask to reboot i click ok but from that time my system not working what the problem i cant do anything what's the problem?

Again reinstall Antivirus , if problem persists , then format OS . It might be due to some Virus. Do check out avast settings panel too .
 
Ya i will try this, But i now recover from that problem when i install an other antivirus its working fine...
 

just re install it nd proper update recommended .After this it will work perfectly fine so do it.
