Hello all,

I am looking for a very small dual NOT gate IC with only 4 pins. I couldn't find any via google or various sources.. Do you know if they exist in such a small size? or is an 8 pin the smallest?

Thanks

Sounds confused. I count 4 signal and 2 supply pins for dual NOT gate. Dual NOT in 6-pin package is pretty standard.

ON Semiconductor NL27WZ04: Dual Inverter

OnSemi has many good logic gates. NL27WZ04 should work for you if your supply voltage is 1.6-5 V.
If this one doesn't work, find another chip from the website.

Hope this helps,

Microwave123

P.S. you can use NAND or NOR gates as inverters if you have any spares from other parts.

Thanks Microwave! Is it even possible to have a not gate without a supply voltage? (4 pins for dual gate).. would be interesting..

It isn't possible. Even if the gate had an internal energy source to drive the outputs, it would need a ground pin as voltage reference. Are you yet using logic ICs?

@FvM -- yes, I have been using logic IC's. Come to think if it, that was a stupid question :)
