while i am editing the properties of wire in schematics,it has shown the name of N835241,i want to add a net name for wire in the schematic instead of adding the net alias,
You can add net name to all the nets, but it consumes time and no use except net list verification. It is better to assign a name to net when it connected to more than two devices.
OrCAD capture automatically assigns unique net names for all Nets and these are system generated net names, hence they follow a convention of NXXXX, if you want to assign a user defined net name, only way to do that is using Net alias.
I have some trouble to generate a calay conform netlist which only allows net names with 8 chars. Is there a way to set a maximum net name length for automatic generated netnames like N1234567. In some Projects there are netnames with less than 8 chars and in some others with 9 chars.
