Yes, that is not a simple task and we can use only two receiver antennas, circular antennas or a dual pol antenna, as you mentioned. I couldnt find a solution neither.
But one of my friends suggested a very funny idea. He told me to bend one part of the dipole such that it will become like a...
thanks guys a lot...
Biff44, this helps, I think. AM modulation is required to compare phase difference btw signals (leading or lagging). But I could not get one point. Do I have to rotate this small dipole very fast to able to measure phase difference?
But also to distinguish them I have to...
How to detect RHCP and LHCP waves
Hi,
How can I detect the polarization (right or left hand) of CP wave with a short dipole antenna (receiver) with a power detector (a diode detector)?
I have smt in my mind but not sure....
I know short dipole will have a linear polarization. so it will be...
One of the solutions is to use 2 or 3 MOS varactors in parallel with different biasing points. This will help you to have a linear C-Vtune (or actually you need linear freq-Vtune) characteristic for MOS varactor tank. There are several topologies for this issue, you can check some patents. I was...
It is true that LPF will have smaller size and lower in-band insertion loss but I did not get the point for better and wider rejection ...
Is it because of the high order ripples in the stop-band of high order BPFs..?
Yes, power meter will be the best , I agree.
So what will be the method if we use only one power meter?
First extract the losses of the cables and limiters and after that measure the PA... It will be accurate enough, I think..
Hi,
I am trying to measure 1 dB comp. point of a PA at 10 GHz. Our network analyzer's power range is not enough (up to 5 dBm) to measure it.
I use signal generator + spectrum analyzer to measure it. But, the output power of the signal on the Spectrum analyzer is changing if we play with the...
Re: ground plane effects
As I know,
Signals travel between signal line and ground plane as electromagnetic fields. If you assume infinite ground plane, all field lines are grounded. But with finite ground plane, you limit your signal-ground path which deteriorates your signal transmission...
I...

Hi,
I am trying to create a look-a-like model of my layout after the EMDS simulation is done. In that case, I expect to use this model in schematic with its simulation data.
But after simulating in layout (Project.dsn) and creating model, in schematic simulation, ADS is trying to...

Hi,
You can use stoz() function for Z parameter extraction. stoy() will serve Y parameter extraction.
for example, Z(1,1)=stoz(S(1,1))
a bit late but, one can use if there is a problem with S parameters to Z parameters.
