Finite ground for fix Antenna
if you want to calculate the size of the ground plane, the ground plane should be large the patch about 1/4 wavelength to obtain the better front and back ratio.
Hi murti,
Thank you for your interest in L-probe fed patch antenna. If Prof. Luk knew someone talking about L-probe, he should be very cheerful. When I left City University of Hong Kong last year, they already found the method to reduce the H plane cross polarization. You had better to search...
Nope, I mean Axial ratio beamwidth because the antenna are required to receive the signal from low elevation angle for GPS application. For general CP patch antenna, it only provides axial ratio beamwidth from -30 to 30 degree.
What is your requirement for the radiation pattern? ( Axial mode or normal mode ). Also, the axial ratio beamwidth is important for the CP antenna. I have designed that dual frequency and dual circularly polarized antenna using helical antenna but i can't solve the problem of the isolation...
Hi all,
is it possible to measure the antenna gain using network analyser?
Could i use two identical antenna connected to network analyser and measure it S11 and S12 , then calculate the antenna gain?
Thanks a lot
Hi Element7k,
would you explain more details how to increase mesh density? ( using dummy object). if the structure has a strong couple among 4 parallel thin cylindrical wires, what can i do?
Also, is it possible to control the density point?
Thanks & Regards,
Yuen
Circular polarization is necessary for systems operating at frequencies below about 3 GHz since the Faraday rotation produced by the ionosphere can cause a linearly polarized transmitted signal to rotate out of alignment with the receiving antenna.
Hi all,
Would anyone tell me how to plot antenna gain against frequency in HFSSv9? I already plotted the antenna gain using Create Report> Far fields:Rectangular plot, then setup primary sweeps to be Freq and Phi=0, Theta=0. However, I find that after close the project, HFSS need to calculate...
