I didn't check the phrase in the book. But as far as I understand, it refers to the bandwidth-changing property of a regular digital FIR filter.
Remembering that the passband freq of FIR is related to the sampling frequency with a fixed percentage, changing the sampling frequency changes the...
Brian,
I don't talk about LEDs. The sensing process is done by infrared detector. And it tries all the night. This is the problem.
Yes, you're right. I should've written that detail. It is harmful for high power levels. However, this assumption is acceptable for devices you carry on your...
whatever it is, if it uses IR, then yes, definitely damages not only your eyes, but also brain.
Because IR is simply an electromagnetic radiation which is proved to be dangerous for human body.
yeah guys, I came up with an explanation. So, I wanted to post it here to be useful for others who search.
From Sklar's paper: r(t)=hc(t) * s(t)
'received signal' can be partitioned in terms of two component random variables, as follows:
r(t)=m(t) x ro(t)
where m(t) is called the large...
first of all, sinus signal with 5khz frequency will give you two dirac delta at 5KHz and -5KHz. similarly if you multiply two 5KHz sinus signal, you'd get two cos at the frequencies of 0KHz and 10KHz which means you would have 3 delta functions in frequency spectrum at 0, 10KHz and -10KHz. So...
Hi,
Their history, developer companies and groups, frequency band, throughput, bandwidth, modulation and coding schemes, channel access mechanisms, MIMO models, power efficiency, worldwide usage, compatibility with each other and so on.
Those are very fundamental topics for 3G and 4G.

Hi,
As you know, regular convolution of function1 and function2 results with the length of function1+function2 -1. And in matlab, conv(func1, func2) gives the same length. However, if you work with DFT, you use rather CIRCULAR CONVOLUTION. So try CCONV function in matlab.
And as far as I see...
Multidimensional constellation is a general expression for orthogonal constellation. Because if two signals are othogonal to each other, you should define at least two dimensions to identify these 2 signals. With that approach, if you arbitrarily define a modulation scheme that assigns your...
Hi,
I am little confused about channel propagation of a wireless waveform.
I know that
y= h*x + n -------- in time domain
Y=HX+N --------in frequency domain
where h is the channel impulse response which can be rayleigh or rician if small scale fading is considered.
But what...
That does not mean anything to me that "we can play with imaginary signals".
for the signal x= a+j b,
a-real number or signal
b-real number or signal
x-complex number or signal
if you define j b= k and say x = a + k , you cannot sum these too regularly. You need to do a vector summation...
Hi,
Doraemon is right! Dirac delta function (or distribution) has finite energy of 1. My bad, sorry my wrong sentence.
What I tried to write is unit step has infinite energy. But finite power of 1/2. Dirac delta function has finite energy but has infinite power.
But when I search for it, I...
Rms is a common measure for AC to determining the voltage over a period. Because voltage is changing with time periodically.
Otherwise instantaneous voltage would falsify you when you calculate energy and power of the signal.

What do you mean by saying "power signal" and "energy signal" ? You can find the energy or power of every periodic/aperiodic signals. Energy or power is a constant value.
On the other hand, yes unit step or delta functions has theoretically infinite energy and power. But keep in mind that...
Hi,
I think there is something wrong in your mind about notation. If x[n] is our signal and if you do x[n-2], you gotta shift it to the right. If you do x[n+2], you gotta shift it to the left. It is independentof signal's shape and location, whether x[n] is defined in negative or positive part...
As far as I know, the term "sinusoidal" covers the cosine and sine functions. It stresses the shape of sinus, even it is phase shifted or not. So sin and sine are same, but sinusoidal is kind of general expression.
