Hi
Did you map the “via layer” while defining the substrate? If yes, just draw a conductor pad exactly where you want to place the via. Change the layer to the via layer (the same one that is mapped in the substrate). Draw a circle (general shape of a via) using the drawing tools. This will be...
Hello Tyassin
I did the importing of VNA data into ADS2004A this way. Hope this helps you.
Open a new Data Display window in ADS2004A. Click on the button with a "Floppy and two arrows (One black and straight, the other a red and curvy)”. This will open a new window. In the new window you have...
Hello
“Validation Check” checks if all the parameters needed to start a simulation are set by the user or not. It doesn’t check if the solution converges with these parameters. I use HFSS v9.2. I read that HFSS v10 has some inbuilt tools that automatically correct the errors causing the...
Hello Everyone,
Can anyone help me with defining a substrate that is infinte in area and infinite in depth? In other words a Half-Space Substrate. The version of HFSS I have is 9.2.
Thankyou in advance
Kind Regards,
YANR.
Hi All
I am using hfss 9.2. I need some help to define a substrate that is infinite in all three direction or axis. It is generally called half space for anennas used for ideal conditions.
Thanks in advance.

Hi all
I am working on antennas using HFSS 9.
Can anyone tell me the procedure to define a substrate that is infinite in half space? That is infintie length infintie width and infintie height.
Kind Regards,
Arun.
