Re: what's the differences between waveport and lumpport in
Hi,
I think the key differences between waveport and lumpport is that , waveport can work exactly in all frequency you need and lumpport can't get exact simulation data in a Frequency Range.
fekete, u are right. We don't need expensive EDA software to do anything.
But I think the cheaper one maybe not so popular like the expensive one. If this is right, whether we need buy several cheaper softwares instead of one expensive software.
If you haven't HFSS, you should make a probe with adjustable length and a adjustable short. Then do it by test. That's not time consuming to reach your desire.
fekete, all 3D simulator can provide the good results. I am familiar with HFSS and I know it's expensive if u buy HFSS only for coax to...
IE3d is good for determining microstrip antenna's resonance frequency and input impedance, also good for simulating microstrip structure devices,i.e.power divider and coupler. But fail to get wide-angle pattern. If want obtain an accurate pattern plot, use HFSS with PML boundary.
Re: To simulate an aperture-coupled microstirp antenna in HF
What's the advantage using an aperture-coupled microstirp antenna, get more wider bandwidth ?
Thanks!
