Unfortunately you can not overcome this. You need a USB host to communicate with a USB slave (your bluetooth usb dongle is a USB slave). And even if you have an embeded host, probably it will not support bluetooth.
USB to microcontroller
USB is different from Serial. There are some firmware only implementation of USB for AVR but they are not really compliant to USB standard.
You can use FTDI device instead for easy USB interfacing.
