I want to build a bldc motor controller. I want to use the reading of hall sensor for rpm measurement also.
Should I use interrupts of one of hall sensor and start timer and then do the calculations
But what in case of overflow of timer
Kindly suggest some other method

@Berry,Thanks for reply, my component specfication are as follows: 2.5 Amp is the coil current and maximum CONTACT rating is 150 Amp I want a IC which can interface between this relay and the Microcontroller.
I have tried using ULN2003 and 2 relay, one relay is used to operate this bigger relay...
I am using atmega 32. I want to control a 12v, 2.5 amp relay using it. Can I use ULN2003 or not (because its current rating is onlower side 500 mili amp). kindly suggest any IC for this or any other components.
