    Fabrication material

    Hi, In the case of fabricating an antenna I found that every fabricator uses FR4 only as the substrate material(generally for low cost fabrication) My question is that, why do they not use PTFE which has a lesser dielectric constant? Please help! Thank you.

In this fig, when the inset distance is varied slightly ie even by 0.001mm also, the impedance decreases drastically. This could be pretty dangerous when manufacturing the antenna is in question...

    Thank you. If it's not too much trouble for you, can u send me a few links to IEEE papers as I could not find any. And u have directly given the values as calculated by Ansoft HFSS ADK. But I need the formulae/rule to theoretically calculate it.
