hey erikl thanks for the reply.
They told me to use the default setting, which is empty for the stream layer map.
Added after 4 minutes:
Yes, I just checked it in the map file and it defined in the file:
RPO drawing 34 0
I used the default setting which is empty.
I tried to use the map file virtuoso_018um_v27c.map to stream out again but still the layer 34 is missing...
This is the message that foundry sent to me. I checked the layer34 RPO and I do have this in my design but it lost when streaming out. I use default stream out setting up.(As shown in the file that I attached) Can anyone help me please?
1) There is no RPO (non silicided area definition) in...
Re: Taping out check WARNING: Layer 3 contains unmapped obje
Yes, it was a saved layout view and same DRC rules.
After I open it again, there comes a pureple layer to cover my inductor device. And the Metal slot layers are missing.
Thanks erikl!!
I used the .map file to stream out and stream in back and there is no DRC error now!!
However, there are still some LVS errors. How should I do LVS after streaming in? Do I need to put pin names back?
Cheers

Re: Taping out check WARNING: Layer 3 contains unmapped obje
I used the TSMC018 design kit and I just leave User Defined data area default(which is empty actually). This includes Layer map table.
I sensed there might be some problem with the layer map table but if I should fill in by myself...
Re: Taping out check WARNING: Layer 3 contains unmapped obje
Thanks for the reply.
I have tried to stream out my design with DRC and LVS clear and stream in
again into my library. The streamed-in file has many DRC errors(such as missing
wide metal slot layer etc.) and LVS errors (cannot find...
Re: Taping out check WARNING: Layer 3 contains unmapped obje
The strange thing is that the layers in the layout are all named, metal etc. but in the check file, it shows layer 3 , layer 4 etc. How should I find out which is which?
IMEC sent the check file to me and it contains several warnings like:
WARNING: Layer 3 contains unmapped objects and is the source layer of
LAYER MAP == 3 DATATYPE == 1
Does it matter and how should I use these information to check my design please?
It seems that they are using Calibre to...
