matlab outage probability
First of all outage occurs when the channel variations dont support the required rate,
Therefore I think we discuss the outage only for fading channels.
I my point of view:
To calculate the fading channel capacity you take the expected value of the channel...
in matlab there is a fuction used as LDPC encoder .
enc = fec.ldpcenc; % Construct a default LDPC encoder object
and a decoder
decodedmsg = decode(dec, llr);
which takes LLR values from
llr = demodulate(demodObj, receivedsig);
but this "demodulate" function calculates the LLRs for...
If you look in the book of David Tse, Fundamentals of wireless communications.
instantaneous SNR is defined as, |h|^2 SNR, therefore if we take square of Rayleigh it becomes exponential distribution therefore the overal instantaneous recieved SNR becomes exp. with mean SNR.
hope this helps.
I need step by step solution of all the proofs used in the paper:
"Diversity and Multiplexing:A fundamental tradeoff in Multiplple Antenna channels"
by L.Zheng and D.Tse.
If somebody have it or know some source from where I can have than please let me know, I would be grateful to him/her.
Hello all,
I need the thesis "Advanced Techniques for Next-geneation wireless systems" by A.Sendonaris ..
If someone have than please upload it .I will be grateful.
channel capacity bpsk
capacity formula
C=log(1+SNR)
is valid when input symbols have gussian distribution (please correct me if I am wrong)
but when input symbols are not gaussian distributed but are uniformly distributed binary symbols than how to find out the capacity for it ??
please...

Dear MAK,
Thank you very much for your explaination,it was very nice.
if you have some time than I would request you to add something about the Superpostion coding,Diry Paper coding and name any practical coding schemes which mimic these.
Thanks,
Re: some information
TDMA available time is divided among users
FDMA available frequeny is divided among users
CDMA available codes are divided among users
wikipedia is the best for initial studies.
In Information Theory world two terms are mostly used:
Converse and Achievability
Could somebody explain what do they mean ??
Is there some guy from Information Theory ?
