Thermal system input output and DC gain

I see. So by using power as the input and output as measured temperature, it would have a linear relationship?

Thermal system input output and DC gain

Hi So I can define the output i want for my system according to my own equation? And set the control gains and parameter from there? - - - Updated - - - The setting of the heater duty cycle refers to varying the voltage being supplied to the heater is that correct?

Thermal system input output and DC gain

I see, so its normal the dc gains changes with a different value of step input that I use? Yes thermal conductance, resistance, heat capacity has been considered and accounted in the equation. What I am wondering is the a different value of dc gains from the experiment as I increased the value...

Thermal system input output and DC gain

Hi The output for my thermal system is the temperature(degree celcius), while the input to the system is power(watt). I set up this control system, and I am now confused while trying to find the DC gain of the system as it is not the same DC for different value of input into the system. Is...

    Calibration of temperature Sensors

At a higher temperature, wouldnt a RTD be having a higher resistance and that would mean a smaller current?

    Calibration of temperature Sensors

I see. That is to say that pt1000 should give a more accurate reading of the heat source right?

    Calibration of temperature Sensors

Do you mean the loss of heat through the wires that can result in the inaccuracy in the reading? Yes the sensors are actually planted to measure the temperature of a heat source and they should measure the same temperature or very close. The difference in temperature should only be due to the...

    Calibration of temperature Sensors

Ok. So I have to use a good reference for the calibration to offset the variation from the accurate temperature right? This could be a little difficult as the sensors are currently being installed into the structure. I would have to see what can be done then. Regards

    Calibration of temperature Sensors

The 2 sensors are HEL-705-U-1-12-00 and 192-103LET-A01, RTD and thermistor. Right now I have not gone over a temperature of 100degrees celcius so it should not be out of the tolerance.

    Calibration of temperature Sensors

Hi I am working with 2 different temperature sensors. One of them is a themistor and the other is a RTD. I put them in the same place and the temperature that they both measured differed in 0.1degrees celcius which is good enough I think. However, when the temperature rises to 50degrees then...

[PIC] Program halted after some time (around 100 seconds)

Ok. I shall try and narrow it down and see what is causing the problem. I am guessing it could be memory overun as it is happening at the same time always. Regards

[PIC] Power of board through the UART board?

Yes its strange and actually I do not want it to be this way. As it would obstruct the normal working of the main board causing problems when debugging the project. So now I have to disconnect the UART and debug the project and connecting it back after the debugging started and connect it...

[PIC] Power of board through the UART board?

Hi I have realized that my PCB board containing the pic33ep512MU814 remained power on as the LED can still be seen lighted after I have removed the power supply. Another board which is a slave to the main processor is connected to the main board through UART and it is still powered on. I...

[PIC] Program halted after some time (around 100 seconds)

Hi The MCU is pic33ep512MU814 and it is being compiled and debugged using MPLABX and XC-16. I have set it up in a while loop with a timer interrupt to handle some processes. The program is able to run normally when it is being debugged but it is halted due to a break in user code after 100...
