what is hot topics in analog design research?

Memory, low power, ADC and DAC of great size Maybe also designing new models for nanoscale technology

How important is SPICE today and how will it be in the future?

Re: Is SPICE dead? I don't think that SPICE is not developing. A new class of SPICE simulators has emerged, it is called analog fast SPICE simulators. And it is one more step forward.

which one is the best eda tool for electronics chip design..

Re: which one is the best eda tool for electronics chip desi Yes, Synopsis and Cadence are quite alright but very expensive. So sometimes we have to use another EDA tools, much cheaper (it worth mentioning that for particular tasks these tools can even surpass cadence and synopsis tools)

What program are you using for analog simulation ?

Re: analog simulator poll AVOSpice which comes from Russia Good tool for analog simulation of VLSI circuits at the transistor level. High accuracy, high acceleration

who use smartspice or eldo in analog deisgn

switched capacitor filter simulation eldo Andy, could You be more specific, what kind of circuits do You design? It is common practice when for partitular type of circuits a particular simulation program fitts better. Regards

Interview questions about Hspice & Spectre

Re: hspice & spectre Paladinzlp, as far as i understood You think that Spectre simulates faster and better all type of circuits than HSPICE does?

what is the best simulater for Analog design?

Yes. it's well-known that HSPICE and SPECTRE are the simulators of "gold standard". But as far as i know there are different, less famous simulators, but which can simulate certain circuit types with the same accuracy as HSPICE (may be even higher) and much faster. And of course, such programs...

Why Cadence simulations are so slow under Linux?

Re: too too slow May be just try to use another simulation programs? For example, **broken link removed** under Linux works very fast and accurately.

    Analog circuit design tool

Also there is not widely known tool for simulation, it is called AVOSim. Despite it is much cheaper,it simulates very quickly and with high level of accuracy. You can get trial-version for free here **broken link removed**

    Freely available EDA tools

Look at these programs, may be some of them will be useful for you. Trial-versions are available for free. Good luck! **broken link removed**
