Re: dvb-s ber
Dear Clein,
Could you email me your m. file for the DVBS simultation. I have done the similar in .mdl but thought it is easier to simulate in m file. i can send you my model if you are interested.
Looking for forward for your reply.
thanks.
Hi All,
HELP !!
Did anyone know how to model a transmission chain for baseband and modulated carrier in stimulink Matlab ? QPSK, Viterbi code and 14GHZ modulated carrier over white noise. (attenuation) Need to find the usability of the signal at receiver after it is attenuated.
Thanks.

Satellite broadcast
Hi All,
Trying to model rain attenuation in Ku band satellite broadcasting. Any idea on Crane model ? Ddi anyone come across some matlab code or papers on this topic. It will be a great help. Thanks.
:D
Thanks for the info. How's about the stimulation program? estimation of the rain attenuation that penetrate through the medium ?
Shall I take into account the Rayleight effect for satellite communication ?
Salaries in ASIA
In Malaysia,
For B Eng degree starting salary should be Approx. RM 1800 ~ RM 2300.
Master degree fresh grad could be RM2200 ~ RM 2600. Not much of difference.
Salaries in MAL is kind of sad for engineers.
Western country appreciate engineers more.

Ku bvand rain fade
Hi All,
Can anyone give some idea on how to analyse the Rain Fade and Compensation method for Ku-Band Satellite System ? does anyone have any stimulation program to calculate the path loss or Matlab code to perform the task.
Thanks.
