[CST MWS] Connect two cyclinders of a helical coil

There is a tool called Loft within Extrusion panel, have you tried it? I think it could work.

[CST-EMS] Coil design using copper wires

Hi, The coils, coil segments, voltage/current paths are field sources, it forces current or voltage through the circuit you designed. After simulation you will have the results in form of field or current density, but I don't know how to integrate it to get total current or voltage in a given...

Why CST does not simulate long waveguide?

Hi, I don't know why, but when I needed simulate a long waveguide, due to mesh size, I simulated a fixed length (i.e 2m) and used CST Design Studio to couple it in series the same structure all desired length and calculate the equivalent S-parameters.

how I can check if floquet ports are well oriented in the same direction CST

Hello sztr, Within Modify Waveguide Port (just double click the port1 at Ports/Navigation Tree), you can check the box Polarization angle at bottom right and set the desired polarization. Regards.

[CST-EMS] Coil design using copper wires

Dear All, I need to simulate a transformer using CST EMS to eddy-current and thermal loss estimation, quite similar to the following application: https://www.cst.com/Applications/Article/Coupled-EM-Thermal-Modeling-Of-Power-Chokes I designed the transformer coil with copper wire and set...

CST at least one propagating mode is not considered at Port 1

Hi, As you increase the dielectric constant, the modes number increase too. It means there are more than 1 mode propagating in your resonator. So, you have to increase the number of modes in that simulation, what can be done within port1 properties (Number of modes). Regarding the mode...

Simulating Losses in Coaxial Cables at CST MWS

Dears, I am simulating a kind of coaxial cable at CST MWS using TD and need to know losses in metalic walls and dielectric in all simulated band. I can see these losses in 1D Results/Power/Excitation but it is for just 1 frequency, that frequency specified to H monitors. Does someone know how to...

Setting of TEM mode for a waveguide port in CST MWS

Hi Mona7150, You will define the modes number, e.g how many modes are simulated, but what will define the propagating mode (TE, TM or TEM) will be your geometric structure. If your structure is a hollow waveguide, you will not see TEM modes, because the boundary conditions do not allow...

CST Macro for Import xyz data from TXT file

Hii everyone, When I click 3Dpolygon from Curves menu, a window offer a option to load xyz data from .txt file. It's very good!!! But I have hundreds of files to load and it's borring and wasted time to load one by one... So, I'm trying to program a macro for CST import several .txt files with...
