i'm also using mma 7260 accelerometer for vibration detection in which involves in my 4th year project.
what i have to do is get data to hyperterminal.
can you tell me, your accelerometer shows 1.65 volts, when it is at rest?
i wrote a programme in ccs c, to display A/D conversion values in hyperterminal.
i used pic 18f452. what i'm really converting is anlogue values taken from accelerometer.
but there is a unexpected problem. that is even without setting accelerometer to the A PORT of the pic, hyperterminal...

i wrote a ccs c code to switch on some led's. that programme work with proteous simulator. but when i put this programme in to pic 18f452, it is not working.
i'm sure that it's not a problem with pic control board, because, other programmes written in mikroc software, is working.

i,m designing pic board for pic 18f452. in there use mx232 and db9 serial port for communication. without putting the pic i gave the supply to pic board , when i cheked tx port of from pic ,there is a 4.3 voltage there. but RC port is ok.
please , some one tell me ,is this a normal situation or...

as out put of this sensor it gives 3 analogue signals proportional to X, Y and Z acceleration.

i modeled simple spring mass system with excitation force f(t). i get displacement of mass, as a time domain signal.
I want to transform it to frequency domain since i have to analysis that output in frequency domain.
