I have connected my DS89c450 up and finally have begun to get somewhere!
now though, I keep receiving the following error when attempting to connect with MTK2. Has anyone hit it before and how would I fix it? Debug out put is below.

I now have a USB serial converter. As per the diagram I attached in my response, do I still require the DS232A and HA/AC125 or can they be omitted when not using traditional serial?
And then how would I wire this into the chip? I'm totally without clue :(. I know micro's, just not this one and its got me stumped. I've just ordered some MAX232 from maxim which apparently I need. Do you have any idea where to buy the HC/AC 125 pictured?

Recently brought some DS89C450's and i'm wondering if anyone can help me begin programming it? preferably USB-serial and in circuit if it's possible. I'm running windows on a modern computer (without parallel or serial port), although I have another linux machine with these ports I may be able...
