Thank you both for your help. I just figured it out.
I looked at the a part in the library and realized that the rectangular geometry bounding the component was not actually defined in the footprint. I had a room defined improperly causing a conflict. Apparently this causes the cross-hatched...
Thank you for your response. The components in the screenshot are all from the standard libraries. None were user created.
The bottom layer component I highlighted is an 0603 resistor. Here is the footprint information:
