FFT is an algorithm which computes DFT very fast by utilizing properties of Nth roots of unity.
But please be specific on what really u want to in FFT .

difference in furier series and furier transform
Basically Fourier Series is for periodic signals and Fourier Transform is for aperiodic.But, i feel, you cant get this concept readily. So i advise you to study some basics in books and from net and come back with doubts which you dont Understand...
There are basically two types of RAM , Block RAM and Distributed RAM. I think you are referring to BRAM. Just see coding guidelines in XST manual Available at xilinx Site.Available at

i have rs232 built into my board with max level converter and i have a cable which has D9 connector on both sides. Can i use this cable to connect my PC to FPGA ( Cable has provision to plug in on both cpu and fpga).
