    Characterizing new CMOS tech

    I always do a lookup table from this. Extracting most of the parameters I'm interested, gm, gds, gm/gds, gm/id, noise, flicker noise corner and index (interestingly it's not always 1), Cgs, Cgd, ft, mismatch, etc. I call them my rulers.

    Hughes is right. I got the same problem when I install ic5141 usr6 on rhel4. I copied the file from tools/dfII/sample/local/cdsinit. When I overlap the old .cdsinit by the file Hughes told, the error is gone. Thanks.

    Have you use the DNW to suround the PW you used to resident your device? In other words, is your NMOS in hot PW?

    LNA self excitate and receiver sensitivity poor

    Khouly is right. There's some harmonics of spurs fall into the bad bands. This is very usual in RF chips but very hard to control. I think you can do nothing about it now except re-design the chip under the condition that the spurs are considered tenderly.

    As a filter together with the resistance on the differential lines. In this way, 1pF capacitor equal to two 2pF capacitors put to each node respectively.

    What's the DC voltage of the signal source port? Check the DC bias of the node between two inductors.

    Difference of 1p8 and 3p3

    Not exactly. If you are sure the voltage between any two terminals of one transistor is lower than 1.8V, you can also use 1.8V transistor. It's a little difficult to protect these 1.8V devices in 3.3V domain but some times the perforance increased by this deserve that.

    Is IP3 always 10dB higher than P1dB?

    iip3 and p1db This is because each tone works as a blocker to each other. In fact, I always think the case 2 is a wronge way to test the 1dB CP, though it even occasionally shows up in literatures. Stober

    Are you trying to down convert 2.4GHz rf signal directly to baseband? I think this is not a good construction.
