New processor module for ICE2000 works with PIC18F6720

PIC18F6720 Just an update from my previous message about the PIC18Fxx20 family. I just got a new Processor Module for the ICE2000 and it seems to work fine with the PIC18F6720. So far, no problems... We'll see how the ICD2 thing goes in a week or two. Stallion

    pic16f877 in circuit programming

mclr pic16f877 circuit I just added ICSP in both of my circuits. Here is what/how I found/did. Using the 16F was pretty easy. Simply put a diode on the VPP (pin 1), RB6 & RB7 are both outputs on my circuit. So, this had no adverse effect by simply connecting them directly to my programmer...

Motion controller for a small DC motor make noise

Oldman, I have designed motor controllers in the past. You should PWM at 25-28KHz. Anything greater than that will not be very efficient. Anything less, you’ll more than likely get your audible noise. ST has some pretty good information. Good Luck, Stallion

Current Loop PIC - looking for info how to build it

Oooops, sorry. Well, then I would use a 220 ohm resistor to GND. 4mA = 0.88V 20mA = 4.4V You could also use a couple of op-amps to get 0-5V insted of 0.88 - 4.4V. This method works well. Another alternative, but more expensive, is a Burr-Brown part, RCV420. (I think that is right) Anyway...

Current Loop PIC - looking for info how to build it

Use a PWM output of the pic through an R-C network to filter it in to a voltage controlled current source using an op-amp. It is cheap and easy... Look at the Microchip web site for getting an anlog output from a pic. Look at National or fairchild op-amp data sheets for voltage controlled...
