To fabricate patch antenna using LPKF prototype machine,
1. Import the individual dxf files of top layer and bottom layer of patch antenna.
2. After assigning top and bottom layers,
3. Assign the rub out areas.
In this way you can easily make the patch antennas using LPKF machine.
I am trying to redesign the log periodic antenna given in feko examples. After simulation without electrical symmetry i am getting the output, but with electrical symmetry i am unable to simulate, I am attaching my file. If possible please find the solution for this problem.

After drawing the second bow tie using draw line command it takes the same level of previous bow tie design....
In this situation just select the second bowtie each and every poly lines and change the substrate height in every polyline.
At the end of all changes...
Without adding proper solution frequency in analysis it give that error. By defining the solution frequency it starts meshing and analyze your model. So go to analysis in project manager in analysis add the solution frequency of interest.
You can do these to reduce the simulation time...
a) Minimum no of passes
b) Uncheck the save fields
c) In Frequency sweep step size should not be very small
d) Frequency sweep range to be kept as required range
I observed from your simulation file that everything is fine with small changes
1. Remove the so many setup files give the one set up with frequency sweep from 3 to 11 GHz.
2. Now take the gain in dB from farfield radiation pattern at particular frequency with desired theta and Phi values..
