    Microcontroller 18f4550 gets hot

I have solved the problem. The problem is on the input of the micro which read the boost converter input using LEM current transducer. If I disconnect that current measurement, everything is fine. I checked the LEM and finally I found the connection is not good. finally... thanks...

    Microcontroller 18f4550 gets hot

p18f4550 hot Dear Forum, I have a problem with the microcontroller 18f4550. I use its PWM for controlling a driver mosfet (**broken link removed**), and it goes to the boost converter mosfet. The output of the PIC should be 5Volt DC 150kHz 70% Dutycycle. I tested the output (without connecting...

    [problems] mosfet easily blown.

Hi guys, I have solved the problem. I increased the driver Vcc to 20V to go the SOA... the mosfet never die... :D Added after 1 minutes: one more thing... Thanks for your help......

LEM current transducer does not give any output

lem transducer Hey, guys... I have solved the problem... The problem was the connection on my PCB... 1 should be the input (1st pin) and 8 will be the output (last pin).. I connected them wrong.... my mistake on reading the datasheet picture.. thanks for your help...

LEM current transducer does not give any output

lem has current transducers problem input voltage: 5V DC I want to measure 0 - 15 A Vout to Ground Is the Vref pin in the component an input or output? What I understand , the Vref is an input, so I put 2.5V there. I have doubt on my understanding. Maybe it is an output. What do you think?

LEM current transducer does not give any output

what does a current transducer do? mmm... sorry I drew it the wrong way. The connection here is right (I attached the correct drawing). when I measured the output voltage, it showed 7.34mV. I increased the current and the output voltage keep increasing...7.35mV, 7.36mV and never stops at one...

LEM current transducer does not give any output

lem current transducer Hi, I need help fpr my project. I am using a current transducer from LEM (HXS 20-NP, datasheet attached) for measuring current. I have 3 components, and my problem is that all the components did not show any output when I changed the current. So, what I am thinking is...

    [problems] mosfet easily blown.

The boost converter has to convert 15V 20A (300W) DC to 55V 5A. I chose that mosfet after I did some calculations and by looking at the datasheet, I can say that IRF2807 will be suitable for the converter. The driver was here already, so I just took that driver without calculating the Ton...

    [problems] mosfet easily blown.

I have a driver IR2301 and I have just put the driver before the gate mosfet. I will look at the Ipk (peak current) of IR2301 and calculate it using the formula Ton. How much will be the nice "Ton" for the mosfet? Added after 18 minutes: max0412, This is what I calculate from taking the...

    [problems] mosfet easily blown.

max0412, Are there any explanation why it will be blown if we dont use a driver? Yes, I am using a microcontroller also for this boost converter. I just want to try the converter in open loop (no feedback), and then put the converter, the driver and the microcontroller together.[/b]

    [problems] mosfet easily blown.

When I tested it (real, not simulation), I used only 11 volt with 6 ampere in the input of boost converter. Pulse generator of 5 volt 150kHz , 70% Duty cycle. It worked fine... temperature was increased in period of time (it did not reach 175 celcius) I switched on and off the boost converter...

    [problems] mosfet easily blown.

Hello, I have a problem with a mosfet (IRF2807) in my Boost converter. It is easily get broken. I have tried to hold it on the pin to avoid electrolytic. I also put a gate resistor. The drain to source voltage specs is still according to the datasheet, even I put it lower than it can handle...

:?: Boost converter cannot reach the desired output voltage

Re: :?: Boost converter cannot reach the desired output volt eem2am, Nope...I haven't looked at the right half plane zero. How can I do that? I am really new in this boost converter environment. I found difficulties also on finding the 35uH, 200A inductor. Do you think I need to order a...

:?: Boost converter cannot reach the desired output voltage

Re: :?: Boost converter cannot reach the desired output volt FvM, Yes, I have just realized that the mosfet and diode characteristic are inappropriate. I am checking the rest of the components now. What do you mean by the "loaded output voltage" ? The output of this converter will charge the...

:?: Boost converter cannot reach the desired output voltage

Re: :?: Boost converter cannot reach the desired output volt It is designed for boosting the solar panel output which has power of 300 W. The current goes in the input will be max of 20 A since the max voltage of solar panel is 15 V. I attached the circuit in multisim
