THe first thing in this case is meshing. Did you do manual meshing? If you did this then in your case, see at 30 GHz wavelength will be very small..the number of tetra will be large ...this could be the cause of problem....If you didnt do manual...

It depends. If you let HFSS seed the mesh automatically then 1ghz is enough. But in certain radiation problems, users seed the mesh maually, and they take the tetra length too small which is just a waste of computer resources. So its better to...
I just saw the figure.I think that above reply should solve ur problem. Take care about upper and lower rings...either u can draw after intersecting the strips...and later join them by using boolean..
HFSS people say to choose boundary at minimum dustance of lambda by 4 ...the mesh length can be done using lambda by 6.....the more smaller u go...more accurate the result but more is computation time...
so lambda by 6 is better...

Right click on RESULTS. Select SOLUTION DATA...choose s-parameters for the required frequency or all the frequencies. Click EXPORT. choose file type as '.m'
This is the easiest way....
Otherwise just right click on the result window and choose export in .txt format.
For cutting 12 equal strips, first make one strip(in the form of box).Duplicate it by using angle of 30 degrees 12 times. Then select the cylinder and all the 12 strips. Choose intersection from the boolean.

I think Wave port and Lumped port are almost same.The only difference is that where they can be used..For example in case of dipole the port has to be interior so we use lumped port.
Terminal lines just give u the reference direction of the field or voltage..Aroow head is +ve...
In the examples of HFSS 9.0 you can find the Dielectric Resonator Antenna.. OR search for 'annular slot excited dielectric resonator antenna with a backing cavity' in search engine.

I am having problem in designing dipole.I have design frequency of 2GHz but its not resonating at this frequency.I am feeding using lumped port in between the gap.What is the problem?Please help.
