Hello,
I am trying to simulate two PCB's in ADS momentum. The problem is that each one has a different substrate. it is interesting for me to simulate the pads that I use for joining it too.
Could I simulate both pcbs at the same time with different substrates?
thank you very much.
I am trying to simulate a CPW circuit in Momentum and I would like to know the characteristic impedance of it. Is it calculated by momentum from the ports? I have seen some simulations where a parameter appears as Z0 in the simulation, but it is not appearing always.
I dont understand what you mean :thinker:
My simulation is a CPW, but I need to add a DC current path. I would like to know how I can model it in ADS in order to calculate the effect of this DC line in the RF simulation.
thank you!
How would the configuration be if the finite ground plane is split into two parts, one is a ground plane connected to ground and the other one is connected to DC current? How I connect a path to DC?

Hi everyone
I am trying to simulate the layout of a CPW line in ADS 2016. I have design microstrip before but never a CPW.
Could you tell me how I do to insert a finite ground plane in the same layer that it is the line (maybe something related to the substrate setting) and how can I configure...
Thank you for replying.

If I see the equivalent circuit of the Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impedance_parameters#/media/File:Two-Port_Z-parameters_reciprocal_equivalent.svg and the real part of the Z12 is negative...
Hello,
I have designed a microstrip line. It is just a line z0=50 and two ports, one each side of the line.
I simulate to get the S parameters and then I calculate the Z parameters.
The result of the Z12 parameter is really surprising. In the real part, the resonances are changing between...
