I am using Avnet Spartan-3 Evaluation kit (FPGA = XC3S400). I want to program it with a parallel cable (DB-25 connectors at both end) using Xilinx iMPACT tool. Whenever I connect and try to program the FPGA iMPACT gives error (#923) : "Can not find cable, check cable setup!". I have tried all...
A little more elaboration.
The Manual of the XSA-3S1000 board says that the SDRAM is of 32 MB and somewhere else in the same manual it is written "The XSA-3S1000 Board incorporates a 16M x 16 SDRAM.....", by which I understand that it has 16M rows and 16 columns.
Moreover in diagrams of the...
I want to implement a SDRAM controller to save data in the SDRAM of XESS XSA-3S1000 board. The data is actually pixel values that is received on the I/O proto pins of the board that are directly connected to the FPGA. I found a typical design of the controller in the attached pdf file but I...
I have already built it and it is working fine as an IR beam break detector, but I am asked to write an explanation on its working so i want to know how and what is the behavior of each component in these circuits.
The circuit I have attached is of an IR beam break detector. Can somebody explain me this circuit? I want to know the use of Op amp 741 in this circuit and other components as well.
