hp toner cartridge chip how to work
Hi,
I was able to data log the communication from the toner chip to printer.
During power on the chip sends about 155x5bytes.
Most of them are similar except for only five 5 byte streams.
For example during 9 consequetive power on one five byte stream...
toner chip microcontroller
I am also interested in understanding the protocol.
The chip is a PIC 12F683 microcontroller.
Communication is through 2 complimentary wires and the protocol seems to be
strange.
On scoping there are only bursts of fixed frequency
waveform. Not bit pattern, no...
Hi,
Since you said you are new to CPLD let us start from the beginning.
1. You will need MAX+plus II baseline software. This is some 10MB and you can download it freely from Altera.
2. Next you need a byte-blaster MV download cable. You can make one. The schematics are available at Altara site...
Hi,
I had recently used the serial flash programming utility from Ti.
My DSP board did not have an RS232 level shifter and hence had to make an external one. The schematics of that board is attached.
Next while programming the DSP, the consistency was poor. Very ofter the programming would...
soldering qfn
If soldering the center paddle could be ignored, it is practiclly no different from a TQFP.
If heat sinking is required then, you may add a little silicon grees to the centre paddle.
The attached application note on hand soldering QFN will give an overall idea...

Via on Pad
Via on pad is interesting. Is it allowed?
My PCB manufacturer requires .2mm minimum clearance between pad and via. Is he follwing an outdated rule?
Some more comments on pad on via please....

qfn soldering
I have experience hand soldering fine pitch TQFP IC's (208 pin 0.5mm)
I want to try the hot new generation tiny Chip Scale Packages
e.g 32-Lead "Lead Frame Chip Scale Package" from Analog Devices.
Also known as QFN (Quad Flat No Lead), MLFP (Micro Lead Frame Plastic) and several...
A prototype for sale
Check this site for a complete CW doppler prototype system. The engineer is willing to sell the entire IP on a non-royalty basis.
**broken link removed**
Hope that helped to speed up your project.
I have experience with Saber.
Is fine, lot of libraries. Easy to use.
But seems to be a dying software.
It changed hands from Anology to Ba??? to Synopsis.
Not much info about Saber at Synopsis site.
If you could get a _demo_ version, it is worth it.
