Hi bill66656,
My current LDO is production 250mA output. The TPS61201 at 5V Vin seem to be production 1.2A and drop down as Vin decrease. 1.2A may affect my circuit.
Hi KlausSt,
My circuit is running at 250mA. From what I red, Nmos Fet is a better choose for my circuit but just don't know how to choose them for the lowest forward voltage drop. Thanks
What is a good rule of thumb for picking a NMOs fet for reverse battery protection for a ultra low voltage circuit? Vin Max is 5.5v or 6v. Right now, I am using a CRS06 Schottky in series with my 6v battery but its drain to much voltage in idle mow. Any suggestion NMOS Fet?
Thanks.
Thanks guys for the great feedback,
Do you guys have a recommend buck boost converter? Its my first time using one, I some read on google and came up with TI TPS61201. Would this be a good choice? Thanks
Hi BradtheRad,
My idea was to use the 6v battery first until, it drain to 3.2v then I used the charge pump ic to supply the power 3.3v to the circuit. My circuit is limited at 3.1v this mean if I dont use a charge pump there is 3.1v wasted in the battery. So my idea is to run the fresh 6V...
Hi KAM1787,
Thank you for replying, I read the two links but I am still a bit confuse on what to use for my situation. Please find attached picture below. I am trying to find a transistor or pair to replace the switch in the circuit. Any recommendation?
Hi,
My design circuit have a 6V (4AA) battery input and uses a LDO 3.3v. My circuit function up to 3.1V of the 6V battery. Instead of wasting the rest of the battery life, I have a low voltage detector in the circuit, once the battery reaches 3.1v, I want to switch to used the charge pump IC...
Hi,
I am designing a circuit that allow max of 6.5v. Any suggestion on the diode for protection? For instance if someone hook up a 9V to the circuit nothing will happen to the circuit and will run fine next time.
Thanks.
Hi Guys,
I just open two of my multimeter up and blown fuses. Thank you guys for the reply. Going to run to the store to get some fuse and see if I can make some sense of things.
Now the multimeter is out of the way.
Any suggestion on how to estimate how long 4 AA alkaline battery (series)...
Hi,
Thank you for the replies.
I have an Extech 22-816 multimeter, at the bottom it have three holes for the probes. The middle one is COM. The right is for 400mA Fused and left one is 10A label. At first I try the right (400mA), I got a current reading but the circuit does not turn on even...
Hi,
I am trying to calculate how long my 4 AA battery would last in my circuit running at 3.3v with my multimeter. So I need to find out the total current drawn. I cut the line after regulator 6v to 3.3v and place my probes of the multimeter in series touching my cut line. I got a read out on...
