I have worked with EEPROM's PIC and i want to know ¿Why do we must put the values 0xAA and 0x55 to work with it?
¿What happen if i put another value on that registers?...

I am working on a very low cost design that includes a PWM for a DC Motor control. I choose a 555 working in monostable configuration for that work but i can't get 0% and 100% active signal into the cycle. It's posible to get this?
Can you please give me some links to get information about the details of the implementation of that kind of sensors. The ultrasonic option is not so expensive, so i think it could be the rigth choose. Thanks.
The CCD is a nice option but maybe it could be very expensive and it is only a proyect for a university subject, but we could analice that option. The road is arround 20 cm so i think it is not a big problem.

Maybe you can use some USB driver opencore thinking in a FPGA or CPLD design, using some HDL you can get a lot of choises for you design.
Somebody could help you findng the opencore.
