You cannot use hyperterminal any way......
Why don't you look into API documentation which enables you to communicate over UART. I don't think u need to use the signals DTE,RTS etc.
Interface diagram:
ARM<------>Uart<----->MAX232<------>PC(COM1) : view data on the hyperterminal.

What is meant by impedence matching?
Is there a way to model CAT5e cable using resistors and capacitors?
As i what to simulate the cable length of any mtrs using this modeled hardware \
by just changing the resistors.

Removing the resistors R1 and R6 and adding a capacitor b/w Vcc and GND helped me get a smoothen the slave i/p waveform.....
