8051 and external RAM (for code) problem

I'm not certain that I understand your question exactly. most of the monitor programs will let you download code to ram via a serial port. so getting the code to the RAM should not be an issue. However, if you are asking how you can then execute it. You can't if you have implemented a pure...

    Synplify pro output bigger?...

If you go back and read my post you will see that the design fit when synthesized with Synplify pro 7.33 but did not when synthesized with 7.51... The comparison was Synplify pro 7.33 vs 7.51, not Synplify vs Quartus for synthesis. These results clearly do not have anything to do with Altera...

Why there are different results in Synplify and Leonardo?

Re: Synplify vs leonardo? Don't believe any of the results predicted by the synthesis tools alone I have seen them predict performance that is twice as good as is achievable in the actual part (Xilinx vertex E)and at other times their reported timing is way to pessimistic (Altera Stratix GX)...

    Synplify pro output bigger?...

Sorry for the late response.... It looks like Synplify changed something in the 7.5 release of synplify Pro we found that some designs that compiled and fit in the Stratix device using Synplify Pro 7.33 no longer fit when synthesized using 7.5!... So some of us are using the older version...

Ask for Stratrix II I/O Assignment

In order to determine where to place I/O you need to take into consideration the VCCIO voltage and also the drive currents of the outputs on adjacent pins..... Trust me, Unless you have a real good reason for wanting to hand pick the pins you would do better to let the tool pick them. I had...

TCL help for Quartus II 4.0

I don't have my tcl script for my project handy right now but here is a simple way to figure out what the correct syntax is. open up the project in quartus. Add a file or two in the GUI. then write out the tcl script. The GUI version can do this. Now you can open the generated tcl script and...

Which one is better TCL or Perl ?

TCL vs perl Modelsim, Synplify, and Quartus all support tcl scripting.... whne you get tired of driving them via the Gui... you'll probably wind up writing some TCL scripts to run them from the command line. We use Perl scripts to sort through output message files and filter invalid warnings...
