I am trying to design micro strip patch antenna with slots in the patch.
Can anyone help me to tell how can we decide slot length and width.
Is there a relation between wavelength and slot dimensions.

height of substrate should be in between 0.003*lambda zero and 0.05*lambda zero.
length of the patch should in between (lambda zero)/3 and (lambda zero)/2.

Does reconfigurable antenna using pin diodes always require DC bias voltage??
If we are designing antenna at Radio Frequencies then what is the need of giving DC supply or using the concept of DC voltage??

It is easy to switch the pin diode during designing of antenna.
