I was trying to design a kind of clip detector circuit which can detect either current or voltage clipping. This clipping detector is required for a differential driver circuit, which can drive up to 2App current @8Vpp. The supply is 12V and the circuit is band limited to 70MHz. However, the...
I did some quick simulations on two simple architectures of peak detectors. To achieve better precision in high speeds its good to use double-diode diode structure as is in the following picture (bottom-left)
As the simulation results show, precision PD is more reliable in higher frequencies...
tsmc down lib
C@dence has a tool called SPP to translate Spice files to Spectre files, but it sometimes can not translate some statements. so its your experience that can help you to correct the these problems. its highly recommended to use a reliable and tested file rather than translated one.
Re: Why we use MOS family?
it has some features that makes it more suited for use:
1. ease of fab
2. high integrity
3. its high input imp.
4. its low power consumption
5. its rail to rail sewing
Re: VHDL
if you are beginer, i advise you to start with the Verilog HDL.
this language because of its simplicity and also its similarity to C language
is more popular than VHDL.
try it.
Re: VHDL
verilog HDL is a C based concurrent language.
it is used for describing hardwares and is the most popular HDL.
you can use synopsys-VCS tool for compile your projects
