I'm thinking that electrical noise may be the culprit. Right now, I'm leaning towards a noisy switch or outlet, though it could still be an appliance. Have you had a chance to test it yet?

Need help with circuit
Thank you, I've read it. Unfortunately, the way I read it is that a 4x4 matrix needs 17 pins. By my calculations, an 8x16 would need at least 33. Is that correct? I've never worked with a led matrix before so be kind, lol.

I understand that a MAX6954 can drive 128 discreet led's. What I can't understand is how to connect this chip to a matrix of 8x16 discreet leds and use the internal fonts on the chip to scroll. Can anyone throw me a bone? Thank you in advance!
