The user set the frequency, usually, in the middle-uper part of the bandwith
and HFSS will build a mesh adapted to the field structure
The user does not need to create the mesh
since the algorithm will automatically create the optimum mesh...

first a boundary/source can be applied only to a surface
and not to a line.
Secondly it seems you decide to use the select by name
select one object and on the right column
a list of all the face will appear
select what you need and then apply the bc you want

one of the advantage of HFSS
is the capability to give the Field distribution
for any power applied to the port
By default HFSS will apply 1W to the port
but you can change this value to any other and see the field distribution
without resolving the problem.

I believe there is a mistake in your model
or the port is not correctly assigned...
At moment HFSS is in version 9.2.1
may be you can contact your Ansoft office and get the latest
version of HFSS.

terminal a and b and a rectangle between terminal c and d
Select these rectangle and assign lumped port to them.
Draw impedance and calibration lines from the middle of the edge

when you draw an object you can assign
Perfect conductor to it.
HFSS will consider it a s perfect conductor not as a ground since perfect ground does'not exisit in reality....
and in any case you do not need a perfect ground to create a CPW
exitation.
