precoding mimo ofdm 2009
gayathri,
there is an exclusive e-book on precoding......

hope this help. download it....
Please help:
(k=infinity)
Summation (1/3)^k (1/4)^(n-k) u[ n-k+3] is equal to
(k=0 )
(1/4)^n (1/11) - 3 (1/4)^n + 3 (256) (1/3)^n n>=3
i didn't get the ans correctly.
I solved as:
since :u[ n-k+3] term is involved:
n-k+3 >= 0
k <= n+3
implying...

How can the (data) rate change? Doesn't the channel encoder just add redundency at the same data rate of the incoming stream.
2*R_s shows that after suppose convolutional encoding the data rate of the encoded symbols is greater than the data rate of the incoming bit...
fundamental period cos ( n^2)
hi Friend,
yes, your method is correct......
but question arises how we get to know the lowest fundamnetal value of all the sudden???? (then we will be left with trial and error method)some experiment we should do to ensure: the minimum value of the N should be 8...
64 qam gray
Hi satish,
I have a pdf which describes about using non squaed signal space diagram(signal constellations) where they described the method about deriving
8QAM from 16-QAM,
32-QAM from 64 QAM... so on.... WITHOUT DEMODULATION
I think ,
if it is possible to deduce the lower order...

The values of InputSamplePeriod and MaxDopplerShift determines whether the fading is fast or slow. So, you should choose those values carefully.
can u specify what values should be the i/psample period value for slow fading

fundamental period
have a doubt reg checking DT periodic sequence:
x[n]=cos(pi* (n)^2 / 8 )
it is periodic ofcourse, but in the solution manual its fundamental period is mentioned as 8.
but i got fundamental period=N=(2*pi/ omega )
in this case, N= (2*pi / (pi/8) ) = 16.
does anybody...
coded cooperation in matlab
Hi apprentice,
As U all know small scale fading (based on Doppler spread) is divided in to
1.Slow Fading
2.fast fading
for fast fading, there is high doppler spread , channel variations are ofcourse faster than signal variations, coherance time < symbol period...
what is nonstationery
hi Friend,
stationary signals are independent of time eg x[n]=5 DC signal
non-stationary signals are dependent on time x[n] = n ramp signal
Are u asking abt statonary procecess

stationary ergodic channel
Hi,
it depends on the channel gain i.e., H matrix.
Let me give you a brief idea:
Definitions of Ergodic & Non-Ergodic channel:
Ergodic channel
The channel gain process is ergodic, i.e., the time average is equal to the ensemble average.
In other words, the...

Hi Muntather,
"Please rewrite your answer in the group as this very nice from you "
i can't follow this line.
what do you mean by that.....
