transistor operates in 3 modes, common base, commen emmiter and commen collector. out of this , we generally use common emmiter mode since it gives sufficient controlled current gain.

thanks . but can you give me the schematic for using ft232r with simple Txd and Rxd lines.i mean, is there any need of handshaking signals?
