for speech recognition you have to create a data base for various speech
some 5 to 10 words will be sufficient,and then any of the method LPC or Zero cross can be

friends I have images of palm from polyu university site.
I have detected edge for that .edges are in 1 and 0's.
I mean edge portion is in 1,other in 0.
please suggest me how can i detect gaps between fingers .

I have a speech .wav file,and I want to apply morlet wavelet transform .and collect features of it.
I have a rough flow;
1)sample at 16k n 32 khz.
2)compute spectogram
Use 40 msec window at interval of 10 msec(i.e a overlap of 30 msec)
using both rectangular and raised cosine window...
