    Outlet works doesn't work

It may be that your inverter is having a little trouble with the load. Is 1000W a peak figure? A lot of the economy ones list their peak value in order to snare customers away from the higher cost units that will work as advertised. This is a real easy check though; Get your multimeter and...

No problem Peter. Glad I could help.

    problem with a switcher and LDO. lmr62014 + LT1761

What is your input voltage limited to? Why not use a LM7815. Its voltage regulation is at least better than the several hundred millivolts you said your getting now. Plus you can clean it up a bit after the fact... I guess I'd need a bit more information, such as your input source, output...

    LM7805 voltage drop on load

The peak output current of a 7805 is listed as 2.2A on its datasheet, but its recommended output current is 1.5A. I'm a newb, but I would guess that your circuit is just drawing more power than the 7805 can handle (causing your voltage drop). I've linked the datasheet here -Alex

    sencore sc61 problem

Have you tried adjusting the "astigmatism" trimmer. It's the tiny one underneath the "Chan A" push button that requires the use of a small flathead. Also, what specifically happens when you adjust the focus knob? I attached a picture of a page from the Simplified Operating instructions that...
