    half wave dipole antenna

YES FOR sure thereis a relation between antenna length and current period(or correspond frequency). each antenna works under certain frequency range(named bandwidth) you could convert this frequency to wave length by landa=c0/f formula then since antenna is half wave it means antenna length is...

    UWB-Solution frequency-Radiation box

i suggest using time domain calculation or MOM based solutions. because time is valuable in this situation!

Design of antenna for short range

In fact you have many choice, there is some other parameters like Pattern or gain, then you could make your antenna smaller using loads or matching circuits, by the way you will see that by making your antenna smaller, antenna efficincy, gain and bandwidth will degrade Regards

[SOLVED] CST MWS dipole radiation pattern discrepancy

So interesting Great Spirit Be care about these Hints: Use open/add space boundary conditions;(you could increase it an see what happens[i guess program default is landa/4]) Use vacuum or air background materials

[SOLVED] CST MWS dipole radiation pattern discrepancy

this scale of ripple could be because of program error and by the way when you use symmetric planes it gain simulation speed and causes small error. because by the way its not perfect aprox.

results plotting in HFSS and CST

there is some kind of export/import standards for any kind of data, just export one project data and import it in another project.

calculation of input impedance in CST

You're right. my mistake. By the way what else remain?
  8. R

calculation of input impedance in CST

if my result is correct then do this: go to solver setting windows click on special>>choose waveguide tab then change port mode solver to Generalized and check broadband for inhomogeneous port option then in solver setting windows check adaptive mesh refinement option. after all of this you...

calculation of input impedance in CST

    - - - Updated - - - i don't see any negative resistance?
  10. R

calculation of input impedance in CST

Attach your design. I guess your simulation is wrong. Negative Resistance mean Active Element and This is impossible because CST Full-wave dose not support active elements.

[SOLVED] How can i bias Varactor Diode in my design?

all you said is new for me. Thanks for sharing your comment.
  12. R

calculation of input impedance in CST

I suppose you are wrong. go to post-processing section and check s-parameter calculation>>always calculate z and y matrices. then look at z folder in 1d result an navigation tree. z matrices never change with reference impedance

which one first? Drawing layout or simulation with ADS or CST ....?

Actually as i said I'm not familiar with PCB design. I'm concern about PCB elements like Via's, PAD's and parts that are related to lumped elements and their effects on overall response of design.

which one first? Drawing layout or simulation with ADS or CST ....?

Actually i'm familiar with RF concepts but not so much with PCB layout design.
